Carl Dane Martin Jr., of Washburn, passed away on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 , at his home. He was born on Feb. 14, 1941 , son of Carl Dane Martin Sr. and Martha (Haddock) Martin at the Stella Hospital in Stella. He was united in marriage to Mary Bryant on Aug. 17, 1970 , in Marysville , Wash. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a master journeyman machinest most of his life and worked as a police officer for 24 years. He was an avid wood worker and flint knapper. He and Mary moved to Greasy Creek Hollow in April of 1998 from the state of Washington . He was ordained as a minister in Missouri .
Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Mary Martin, of Washburn; two sons, Carl (Marty) Dane Marin III, and his wife, Tammy, of Crane, and Matthew Robert Martin, and his wife, Jessica, of Exeter; one brother, Timothy Martin, of Marysville, Wash.; two sisters, Nadine Hope Wallace, of Snohomish, Wash., and Katherine Clark, of Pomeroy, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
