Emory Coons recently suffered a near fatal accident when an ATV he was driving flipped over on him, landing on his head and fracturing his jaw and cheekbones and causing other cuts, abrasions and contusions. Contrary to rumors flying around Emory was not trying to spall fire agate with
his head! Luckily, a valiant effort on his part saved the ATV from serious damage. By cushioning the ATV's fall with his face he prevented further damage. Get Well Soon!
From all PSK members - We're praying for a speedy and complete recovery and hope you can still make the Glass Buttes Knap-in. It wouldn't be quite the same without you!
Update - I spoke with Emory today (Feb 29th) and he'll be returning to his home in Burns, OR in a week or so. He's well on the way to recovery but may require additional surgery.   BAD ATV!
