Workshop and Demonstration

The Puyallup Valley Gem and Mineral Club invited members of the Puget Sound Knapper to their annual rock show to demonstrate flintknapping June 1st - 3rd.

 A few of us were able to make it on Sunday, June 3rd and received a very warm reception.  In fact were were given a PRIME location to set up - right between the outdoor vendors and the indoor show.  As a result there were lots of people passing by and many stopped to watch - and more than a few stayed to try their hand at flintknapping.

Dave Rauschenberg and Jim Keffer spent several hours demonstrating and  instructing and were joined by Jim Sawaya and noobie Randy Curtis.
