2022 Bitterroot Valley Knap-in Announcement
This year's 12th Annual Bitterroot Valley Knap-In will be hosted by John, Sue and Erik Pearson. As in the past it will be held at the Larry Creek Campground in the Bass Creek Recreation Area, Bitterroot Valley, Montana. This event will start Monday June 12th thru Friday, June 17th (leaving in the 18th by noon). As with all PSK knap-ins, everything is free. This is a family event. There is a paved parking lot for RV's (up to 30 feet), (no hookups) and vehicles. There will be lots of room for tents under the trees or under the stars. Vehicles need to be in the parking lot. Gear will need to be carried a short distance to campsites. Because of the current health issues and questions we will not be providing food and will adhere to the current CDC guidelines - whatever they may be at the time. If you are not yet comfortable with group settings, we totally understand. If you plan to attend or have questions, Erik Pearson (406) 777-7121. Let us know number attending and if you will be staying at Larry Creek, tenting, or camping elsewhere. A list of alternative hotels and RV parks is available from Erik. RV's over 30 feet and overflow Rv's, use the Charles Waters Forestry Campground - first come, first served - about a mile from Larry Creek Campground, in the same complex - cost is about $10/night or $5 with Sr. Nat'l Park Pass. No hook-ups, individual camping spaces. Location: Larry Creek Campground in the Bass Creek Recreation Area, Bitterroot Valley, Montana Directions: Drive to Missoula, Montana, on Interstate 90. Take exit 101 and head south on Reserve Street (also designated Hwy 93) toward Hamilton. Turn right on Brooks street (also designated Hwy 93). You will pass 2 towns, Lolo and Florence. Look for the Forestry sign for Bass Creek Recreational Area. There is NO sign for the Knap-In on highway 93. Turn right onto Bass Creek Road, 0.6 miles south of mile post 71 to Bass Creek Recreation area. Go 2 miles into Bass Creek Recreation area then turn right to Larry Creek campground group area. There will be ‘knap-in’ signs to direct you in the recreation area. Go 1 mile on gravel road to our group campground. You will pass a parking lot for day users on your right. |
