2014 Cabelas Lacey Store Knap-in Announcment

The Puget Sound Knappers have been invited back to Cabelas February 15th and 16th and will be an exclusively Flintknapping Event!

This knap-in is held indoors at the Cabela store in Lacy, WA. The store cordons off a large area just inside the front doors where we set up and knap. Each year we hold this event at Cabelas results in great exposure - both for the PSK and flintknapping in general. Literally hundreds of people stop by and watch - and more than a few come in to try their hand at knapping. In past Cabelas knap-ins we've had experienced knappers show up that weren't members of the PSK and didn't know we existed! We also meet a lot of folks wanting to learn the ancient art of flintknapping. Some of both end up becoming active members of the PSK!

Also last year we had eight or ten banquet tables for displays and used them all! So if you attend be sure and bring displays to put out!

And be sure and bring your own chair!

Special Note - Cabelas allows overnight camping in their semi-truck parking lot.

Southbound I-5 to Exit 111.
Turn right onto Marvin Rd North.
Go to second round-about (.5 miles).
Turn left through round-about onto Britton Parkway NE.
On Britton Parkway turn left on to Gateway Blvd.
Go to Cabela’s - .4 miles.

From Portland (approx 117 miles):

Northbound I-5 to Exit 111.
Turn left onto Marvin Rd North.
Go over I-5 to second round-about (.7 miles).
Turn left through round-about onto Britton Parkway NE.
On Britton Parkway turn left on to Gateway Blvd.
Go to Cabela’s - .4 miles.
